“I have
found the paradox that if we love until it hurts, then there can be no more
hurt, only more love.” Mother Teresa
How could
they love me when they don’t even know me?
How could they Love without being Loved by their birth mothers or
fathers? How could their hearts be so
big when they have so little?
Imagine….a
child who has been abandoned…abused….told they were nothing...went days without
eating…or never experienced the Love of a Father or Mother… or even something
as simple as a hug….
This child now is Holding your hand…rubbing your back.. crawling into your bed just to snuggle… holding your hands while you pray… wiping your tears when you cry….Imagine them…showing you every ounce of unconditional love that’s left inside of them. For me, this was not just animagination.. .It was a reality. Since I’ve traveled to India, my whole concept and understanding of Love
has been flipped upside down, stomped on, twirled around, & destroyed… only
to be replaced by a New level of Love.
Love with no limits. Unconditional
Love.
This child now is Holding your hand…rubbing your back.. crawling into your bed just to snuggle… holding your hands while you pray… wiping your tears when you cry….Imagine them…showing you every ounce of unconditional love that’s left inside of them. For me, this was not just an
In the beginning, I assumed
that these children might not understand how to Love or how to receive Love. Boy, was I wrong….. What I realized was that I was actually the
one who needed to be reminded of unconditional love. For so long, I had put myself in a box and was
limiting myself on how much love to pour out.
Limiting myself of how much Love I can even receive from the one who
knows me best…. God. I was pushed to a
point of being so wrecked by love that I didn’t think I could handle anymore
love from these children because I felt so unworthy of the compassion and honor
they showed me daily.
One day, we traveled to a village that was up in the mountains about 5 hours or so from where we were staying......While we were there, I had an encounter with God and about his love for me. There was a woman holding a two day old baby. Her legs were no bigger than my pinky and the length of her body was smaller than my forearm. I asked the woman if I could hold her... She so willingly let me hold her precious baby girl. I will never be able to put into words what I felt when she handed her to me....This tiny, little life that has a heart just like mine... that beats just like mine... and who is so LOVED by the one who created her....the one who knows her purpose and destiny....the one whose heart skips a beat when he calls her his child. "Is this the feeling you get when Mother's hold their children for the first time, I asked myself. " God, is this the feeling you get every time you think of me?" I am forever changed because of that very moment & the overwhelming amount of love that was poured down on this precious baby.
All I could cry out was “More God. I want More.
I want more of you. Give them
More God. Show all these beautiful
children how deep your love can go. Melt
their hearts God. Let it beat with
yours.”
It doesn’t matter where you were born, if
you’re rich or poor, if you’re from a third world country, or if you’ve just
won a gold medal in the Olympics when it comes to love. Everyone is worthy to experience the Love of
our Creator. He Loved us before we were
even born. He dreamed about us before we
ever set foot on this Earth. His love
remains. His love never ends. We are His children. All of us.
Thank you
God for showing me what it’s like to Love and be Loved. The best part… is that
there’s always room for more Love. There
are no limits.
Allow
yourself to be wrecked by Love. Unconditional Kingdom Love.
